چکیده

The notion of age-of-information (AoI) is investigated in the context large-scale wireless networks, which transmitters need to send a sequence information packets, are generated as independent Bernoulli processes, their intended receivers over shared spectrum. Due interference, rate packet depletion at any given node entangled with both spatial configurations, determine path loss, and temporal dynamics, influence active states, other transmitters, resulting queues interact each space time entire network. To that end, variants update frequency affect not just inter-arrival but also departure process, impact such phenomena on AoI well understood. In this paper, we establish theoretical framework characterize performance aforementioned setting. Particularly, tractable expressions derived for peak average under two different transmission protocols, namely first-come-first-serve (FCFS) last-come-first-serve preemption (LCFS-PR). Additionally, our analysis accounts effects channel access controls ALOHA AoI. accuracy verified via simulations, based outcomes, find that: i) networks operating LCFS-PR able attain smaller values than FCFS, whereas gain more pronounced when infrastructure densely deployed, ii) sparsely deployed universally designed probability instrumental reducing AoI, thus calling advanced approaches, iii) rolled out, there exists non-trivial minimizes FCFS LCFS-PR.

Information dissemination in large-scale wireless networks with unreliable links

We study connectivity and information dissemination in largescale wireless networks with unreliable links from a percolationbased perspective. We first examine static models, where each link of the network is functional with some probability, independently of all other links. We then examine dynamic models, where each link is active or inactive according to a Markov on-off process. We show that...

Large Scale Cognitive Wireless Networks

we introduce a demonstration of the large scale cognitive wireless networks, where it opportunistically utilizes network resources including both spectrum bandwidth and radio (wireless station) availability, so as to realize reliable wireless communications. Specifically, the proposed demonstration deals with an application of wireless mesh networks for broadband wireless Internet access, suppo...

Cooperative Broadcast in Large-Scale Wireless Networks

This chapter studies the cooperative broadcasting in wireless networks. We especially focus on multistage cooperative broadcasting in which the message from a source node is relayed by multiple groups of cooperating nodes. Interestingly, group transmissions become beneficial in the case of broadcasting as opposed to the case in traditional networks where receptions from different transmitters a...
